About the role
We are looking for a skilled Linux Systems Administrator to design, deploy, maintain, and secure our Linux-based server infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring high availability, optimal performance, and automated scalability across our on-premises and cloud environments.
Responsibilities
System Administration: Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise Linux distributions (Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS/Rocky Linux, Debian).
Infrastructure & Automation: Automate routine provisioning, configuration management, and patching using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Bash, or Python.
Security & Hardening: Implement server hardening standards, manage firewalls (iptables/ufw/firewalld), SSH keys, SELinux/AppArmor policies, and routine vulnerability patching.
Monitoring & Incident Response: Maintain observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, ELK) to proactively detect bottlenecks, and participate in an on-call rotation for critical incident resolution.
Networking & Storage: Configure and troubleshoot TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, load balancers (Nginx, HAProxy), and storage solutions (LVM, NFS, RAID).
Backup & Disaster Recovery: Manage automated backup schedules, test restoration procedures, and maintain disaster recovery documentation.
What you’ll bring
3+ years of hands-on experience administering Linux servers in a production environment.
Strong command-line proficiency and scripting skills in Bash and Python.
Solid understanding of Linux internals (kernel tuning, systemd, file systems, memory/process management, and permissions).
Practical experience with virtualization and containerization technologies (KVM, VMware, Docker, or Kubernetes).
Working knowledge of network protocols, routing, SSL/TLS certificates, and web servers (Nginx, Apache).
Familiarity with version control workflows using Git.
